The battleground...

...after a weekend....A few pics after the dust has fallen down...did a lot of progress on this new diorama, the building stage is in a far stadium, for sure the steps with the plaster pieces.

Some diluted wood glue and some home made moulded plaster pieces...what a great combination for a diorama build up.

Next on...some detail work and some things to scratch...but first...cleaning up my bench.

VOODOO...

...and really Massive.  You all know the guy from Massive voodoo...they posted a new post on their blog called Touch of death - behind the scenes....a massive and fantastic work if you ask me.

Sculpting and painting on a very high level!

Why i'am posting this you will ask yourself...for a couple off reasons, like i said, their fantastic sculpting and painting job, how they build dioramas and vignettes up from zero...this time they used a new item: 3D printing, making computer drawings and then printing it out, like you can see in the pictures.
This 3d printing has entered this world of modelling, for some time know...but this is the first time i really see it in use.

It is very expensive for the moment...but image that the costs in the future will come down and we be able to buy such printers....would this be interesting.....hell yeah!!!

x-factor diorama...

...update, still pretty much in the building up and fitting the layout modus...

the plaster pieces are a great medium to work out some concrete walls and structures. Carving and sanding till the right shape appears.
Just make yourself a mould and drop in the wet plaster...

The kit is al cleaned up...or the sanding and grinding case is over...

Photo etch assembly step is approaching....time to get the superglue on the bench.

A day off today...

...i'am in the first of May modus, meaning not have to go to work...resulting in some work on the bench.

Preparing some molds for some plaster pieces that i will need on some future work...a diorama with some factory pieces...

Preparing the kit also...much sanding, grinding, fitting....aaahr...dark side off the job. Still a long way to go...

Anyway, some pics from the bench in a dusty cave...

Friday night workbench vibes...

...some update on some works on the bench with a nice fading sun in the background..

Some weathering and fading with oils and Ak interactive stuff...did the fading for the colors this time with oils instate of the vallejo colors. It gives me more control and mistakes can be easily removed.

Keep those modelling vibes alive!!!

The smell of wood glue...

...evergreen plates cut on the right size to create a concrete floor for this diorama, Fixed on with some wood glue.

I like the view of it now...for sure it don't know what will be the next step, stone wall, factory setting, abandoned railway depot...

What will the spare box bring...
